The building complex Kemicentrum consists in fact of four buildings, called Buildings I-III and V. Buildings I-III were constructed in the years 1964-68 and were designed by the famous architect Klas Anselm. Altogether Kemicentrum's area is approximately 40 000 m².

Between the years 2004 and 2008 a full renovation of Building I took place. Our modern laboratories and office spaces are a result of this renovation. A similar action took place in Building III between 2009 and 2011.

The Kemicentrum buildings are owned by Akademiska Hus AB.
