Student safety

Lab safety

The teacher leading the laboratory teaching is responsible for safety. Before courses with laboratories, written tests are conducted where you must show that you understand and can apply the safety rules, so read the safety instructions carefully. The General Safety regulations are mandatory reading for everyone at Kemicentrum.

Collecting and Returning Lab Coats (for students)

Lab coats and lab glasses are distributed during the first week of the term at the lab coat storage on floor -1, approximately 15 meters from the caretakers' office at Kemicentrum. If you miss collecting a lab coat during the first week of the term, you can thereafter collect lab coats from the Study Coordinator (Lovisa Andersson, office located in the corridor for the administrative unit) every Monday at exactly 12:05 PM.

Returning of lab coats and lab glasses takes place at the end of the spring term with clear signage, outside the corridor to the administrative unit.

Evacuation

If the alarm goes off, make your way to the nearest reassembly point.

About reassembly points in General safety regulations.

Environment, health and Safety

The EHS committee is a body in the building that works for good health, work environment, and safety in the building. In the committee, the students are represented by the student safety representatives from the student sections.
